the hertz staff were very helpful and pleasant. we drove more than 1,000 kilometers in 8 days. having 4-wheel drive was essential. the car ran great in all types of weather and road conditions, and handled well on steep snowy hills. also, it doesn't roll backwards when switching into 1st gear on a hill! the car used gas efficiently. takk!

Car clean and in good condition. Easy pick up and drop off at the car hire place in town. I was running late on my way back to Akureyri so rang and they were happy for me to drop the car off an hour later than planned.
